Sodick appoints new Additive Business Development Manager

Sodick Inc, Schaumburg, Illinois, USA, has announced the appointment of Evan Syverson as its new Additive Business Development Manager. Founded in 1976, Sodick employs more than 3,000 staff worldwide and has traditionally manufactured EDM machines and High Speed Milling machine tools.
The company has recently expanded into Additive Manufacturing with the development of its OPM250L Metal 3D Printer, which combines laser metal sintering and high speed milling within the same workspace and incorporates conformal cooling channels, OS-FLASH dedicated CAM software and a powder collection and recycling system.
Syverson, who brings with him marketing and business development experience, is expected to hasten Sodick’s rapid growth in the AM industry. As Additive Business Development Manager he will be responsible for cultivating new opportunities in Sodick’s AM business, as well as ensuring that Sodick customers, partners and employees have access to the resources necessary to succeed, the company stated.
Sodick employs more than 3,000 employee worldwide, including at vertically integrated factories in Japan and Thailand.
