Sisma to sell its shares in joint venture with Trumpf

Sisma S.p.A., Piovene Rocchette, Vicenza, Italy, reports that it intends to sell its investment in joint venture Trumpf Sisma S.R.L., which it established with Trumpf, Ditzingen, Germany, in 2014.

Sisma plans to focus on its metal Additive Manufacturing division in the jewellery and fashion market. Trumpf intends to continue Sisma’s Additive Manufacturing business activities in the industrial, dental and medical sectors.

Trumpf Sisma is located in Schio, Italy, and employs sixty staff in the development and production of metal AM machines. Sisma currently holds 45% of the shares.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021. Sisma states that it will continue to provide assistance, fulfil orders and directly support all customers in terms of sales, service, and consumables.
