Shapeways launches MFG Materials to provide discounted raw materials to manufacturers

Shapeways Holdings, Inc, New York City, USA, is expanding its software service offerings with the launch of MFG Materials. This new service is reported to offer a range of raw materials to manufacturers at discounted rates.
Shapeways claims that they can provide an average discount of 15% off the listed prices on the MFG Materials platform through strategic partnerships and negotiations with raw materials vendors. The discounts vary based on the material and quantity ordered.

With the launch of MFG Materials, we’re taking a practical step toward helping them save on raw material costs,” said Greg Rothman, GM of Software for Shapeways. “Depending on the volume, suppliers can realise a sound return on investment by purchasing their raw material inventory through us.”
