AMUG 2019 will be held at the Hilton Chicago

The 2019 Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) Conference will be held at the Hilton Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, USA, from March 31–April 4, 2019. Designed for both novice and experienced Additive Manufacturing users, the AMUG Conference agenda topics range from technology basics to advanced applications and business considerations. This year’s conference will offer nearly 200 presentations, workshops and hands-on training sessions.

Todd Grimm, President of T. A. In this presentation, he will share his experiences of applications where technology like AM can help companies ‘win the race’ – and its impact not only within automotive, but across multiple sectors.

On Wednesday, April 3, the featured presentation will be the Innovators Showcase, an on-stage interview that aims to elicit valuable insights and personal stories from AM industry leaders. This year’s guest of honour is Professor Gideon Levy of Technology Turn Around (TTA).

On Thursday, April 4, Brian McLean, Director of Rapid Prototype for LAIKA, will speak on how polymer AM has helped to progress stop-motion animation, in his presentation titled ‘The Art and Science behind LAIKA’s Oscar® Award Winning 3D Printing Process’.

“We are extremely excited about our 2019 AMUG Conference keynote speakers,” stated Gary Rabinovitz, AMUG Chairman and Chair of AMUG’s Program Committee. “They will provide a snapshot of the most transformative ideas shaping the AM industry today.”

Throughout the conference, AMUG’s Innovators Award, Technical Competition and DINO Awards will be announced, recognising successful appliations of Additive Manufacturing and contributions to the industry as a whole. The five-day event also includes the two-night AMUGexpo on March 31 and April 1, plus a number of networking receptions and catered meals.
