Safran honours Norsk Titanium with 2026 Supplier Innovation Award

Norsk Titanium, based in Hønefoss, Norway, has received the 2026 Supplier Innovation Award from Safran, headquartered in Paris, France.

The award recognises suppliers delivering innovation that advances performance, industrialisation and sustainability. Safran highlighted Norsk Titanium’s technological developments, stating that it contributed to improved performance and competitiveness, as well as supporting a collaborative, strategic partnership.
“We are proud to be recognised by Safran with the 2026 Supplier Innovation Award,” stated Fabrizio Ponte, Chief Executive Officer of Norsk Titanium. “This honour reflects the dedication of our team and our shared focus with Safran on deploying production-ready Additive Manufacturing solutions that reduce material waste, shorten lead times and support next-generation aerospace platforms.”

Norsk Titanium has collaborated with Safran Landing Systems for several years to advance the use of its Rapid Plasma Deposition (RPD) technology in landing gear applications. The work demonstrates the potential of Additive Manufacturing to produce critical aerospace structures.
Safran, headquartered in France, operates globally across the aviation, defence and space sectors. The company employs approximately 110,000 people and reported revenues of €31.2 billion in 2025.
