The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced its upcoming seminar on the use of Powder Metallurgy technologies in aerospace. The event – scheduled to take place from May 20-21, 2025, in Sandviken, Sweden – will serve as a key educational and networking hub for industry leaders, researchers, and innovators in the aerospace sector.
As the aerospace industry continues to demand cutting-edge technologies to achieve performance, efficiency, and safety, Powder Metallurgy technologies are at the forefront of this innovation. This seminar will delve into the latest advancements in PM and Additive Manufacturing, showcasing their impact on aerospace applications.
Leading experts in the field, including representatives from GKN Aerospace, Sandvik Additive, and AMPOWER, will share their insights on multi-material AM, material optimisation, and the future of aerospace manufacturing. Attendees will be presented with the latest technologies – Direct Energy Deposition (DED), Powder Bed Fusion (PBF), Binder Jetting and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) – and their applications in creating lightweight, high-performance components.
Use of Powder Metallurgy Technologies in Aerospace will also invite attendees to participate in active sessions and tours to offer them practical insight into the latest processes and materials.
