President of Spain sees Additive Manufacturing first hand at Meltio facility

Meltio, a manufacturer of metal Additive Manufacturing machines based in Linares, Spain, has welcomed the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, to its factory. Accompanied by Meltio CEO Angel Llavero and authorities from Linares and Jaén, the president was introduced to Meltio’s Directed Energy Deposition (DED) Additive Manufacturing technology.
Sánchez set up a Meltio 450 metal AM machine and was taught how the company’s wire welding laser head enables the creation of new or repaired metal parts for industries such as the automotive, aerospace, oil & gas and defence.
Meltio also showcased how the laser Additive Manufacturing head is integrated with a CNC machine and a robotic arm.
