PostProcess Technologies Inc., Buffalo, New York, USA, has appointed Jim Kent as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In addition to leading the accounting and finance functions, Kent will be an instrumental member of the senior leadership team, driving the performance of the company’s triple-digit growth strategy and serving as the primary interface to PostProcess’s global investor network.

In his prior role as CFO of ICONICS, Inc., Kent was the primary executive who negotiated the sale of the company to Mitsubishi at an above-market valuation. Preceding his accomplishments at ICONICS, Inc., he developed controls and practices for a public offering as CFO of NetBrain Technologies and spent over a decade living in both Bavaria, Germany and Sydney, Australia as Director of International Finance and Operations for The MathWorks.

Now based in the USA, Kent brings his customer-first approach and extensive commercial experience to PostProcess working from Boston, said to be a growing hub for Additive Manufacturing. There, he will work alongside Rich Caplow, VP of Product who shares a background in industrial automation software solutions, to expand PostProcess’s base in the area.

With extensive experience in building and leading international teams, as well as guiding three different software companies through scale-up and acquisition, we are thrilled to have someone with Jim’s impressive track record of execution and results joining our team,” stated Jeff Mize, PostProcess CEO. “Software and data analytics are the key differentiators of our full-stack solutions. Jim’s extensive experience in developing and deploying SaaS business models comes at a critical time as we connect the end-to-end digital thread to accelerate the use of additive manufacturing in production applications.”

Kent commented, “Additive Manufacturing at scale requires seamless data connectivity and full automation. PostProcess plays a unique role in enabling this to make Industry 4.0 a reality. It also requires PostProcess to act as a software partner to the industry. I look forward to being a key member of the world-class team as we roll-out our next-generation software platform, CONNECT3D™, and expand rapidly beyond the seventeen countries we currently ship to.”
