PMAI International Conference on Powder Metallurgy approaches

The International Conference on Powder Metallurgy (PM22) is scheduled to take place as a virtual event, running April 18–20, 2022. Together with the 47th Annual Technical Meeting of the Powder Metallurgy Association of India (PMAI), the events will provide a platform for those in the PM industry, researchers and students from scientific establishments and academia to present their work.

PM22 will feature over 100 English-language technical presentations from international experts presenting the latest technological developments in Powder Metallurgy. The programme features plenary speeches from Dr Luís Guerra Rosa, Ola Litström, Dr KG Prashanth, Dr Raghavan Gopalan, Dr Tata Narasinga Rao and Dr Volker Uhlenwinkel, as well as further keynote, oral and poster presentations focusing on all aspects of Powder Metallurgy.

There will be sessions on the following topics:

  • Industrial PM (Press & Sinter) technology for auto, electric and machine parts
  • Powder Injection Moulding (Metal Injection Moulding and Ceramic Injection Moulding)
  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Hardmetals & diamond tools
  • Development of materials & alloys for emerging applications
  • Technical ceramics & composites

The conference will also present awards for papers, including the Prof GS Tendolkar Award for the best papers on the fundamentals of Powder Metallurgy and the PMAI Award for A Young Promising Professional for the best paper of industrial relevance.
