Optomec, Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, has announced that Robert Yusin has accepted the role of CEO, following the death of its president and CEO Dave Ramahi in March.

Prior to this role, Yusin was CEO of ParaMatters, a software company which provides end-to-end manufacturing software, for design to inspection, for both Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing. In this position, Yusin reportedly enabled the company to serve a broader base of manufacturing processes, which led to the the company’s purchase by Carbon.

Before the role at ParaMatters, Robert Yusin co-founded industrial manufacturing solutions provider Oqton. He has also held senior leadership roles at Autodesk, Accelops, Loglogic and Symantec Corp.

“We are delighted that Robert Yusin has accepted the position,” stated Mike Barry, interim CEO and board member. “The timing is perfect for a person like Robert to take Optomec’s proven technology and solutions successes to the next level for our customers.”
