New US-based Additive Manufacturing events announced

April 19, 2018

SME, Dearborn, Michigan, USA, and Rapid News Publications Ltd, Chester, UK, owner of TCT Group, have announced the launch of two new US-based Additive Manufacturing events – Rapid + TCT West and The Rapid + TCT Executive Strategy Summit. These events will run each year addition to Rapid + TCT, which will continue to run annually in the Midwest USA.

Rapid + TCT West will take place on the West Coast of the US annually, and is said to be aimed at addressing the need for wider geographical coverage for the AM market in the US. The first iteration of Rapid + TCT West will take place in Santa Clara, California, USA, October 9-10, 2019.

The first Rapid + TCT Executive Strategy Summit will take place in Palm Desert, California, October 17-18, 2018, and is expected to provide a forum for executive leaders who want to learn more about the real-world challenges and impacts that the latest technologies can have on manufacturing today.

Debbie Holton, Vice President of Events and Industry Strategy at SME, stated, “As Additive Manufacturing technology continues to grow in capability and importance, it’s our responsibility to reach manufacturers and share our knowledge and understanding of how to fully leverage this technology. We’re proud to be bringing two new opportunities to the US that influence unique audiences including decision makers and end-users.”

“This is a strategically important and exciting move for both of our organisations,” added Duncan Wood, Chief Executive, Rapid News Publications. “Our relationship with SME is built on a shared vision, which is why it works so well. The combination of our two teams working on Rapid + TCT has delivered superb results and we’re delighted to be expanding our combined efforts into these two new events.”

This year’s Rapid + TCT taking place April 23-26 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.
