The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has issued a Call for Papers for the the 2020 Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy conference (AMPM) which will run in conjunction with the 2020 World Congress on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials (WorldPM2020), and the 10th International Conference on Tungsten, Refractory & Hardmaterials (Tungsten2020), in Montréal, Canada, from June 27 – July 1, 2020.

According to the MPIF, the AMPM conference has grown significantly since its debut in 2014 as the only conference focused on metal Additive Manufacturing, and this year will feature an extra day of technical sessions. The technical programme co-chairmen Matthieu Brochu, McGill University, and Joseph T. Strauss, HJE Company, Inc., request abstracts covering the latest developments in metal AM.

Suggested topics for AMPM2020 paper submissions include:

  • Modeling of materials, components & processes
  • Design of components
  • Particulate production
  • Build processes
  • Sintering
  • Post-build operations
  • Materials
  • Materials properties
  • Testing & evaluation
  • Applications
  • Management issues

WorldPM2020

WorldPM2020 is held once every six years in North America and this will be the second time that the congress will be co-located with Tungsten2020 and AMPM2020. The technical programme co-chairmen Blaine Stebick, Phoenix Sintered Metals LLC and Carl Blais, Laval University, request abstracts covering the latest developments in Powder Metallurgy materials, processes, and applications.

Suggested topics for WorldPM2020 paper submissions include:

  • Design & modeling of PM materials, components & processes
  • Particulate production
  • General compaction & forming processes
  • Powder Injection Moulding (metals & ceramics)
  • Pre-sintering & sintering
  • Secondary operations
  • Materials
  • Refractory metals, carbides & ceramics
  • Advanced particulate materials & processes
  • Material properties
  • Test & evaluation
  • Applications
