Meltio, Linares, Spain, has announced that Ziknes has become the first official integrator of the Meltio Engine for metal Additive Manufacturing with robotic arms in Spain and Portugal. This agreement was achieved with the help of Sicnova, Meltio’s official sales partner in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Ziknes team has extensive experience with high-end technology applications. After years of working together at companies such as Tesla, the Merck Group and Jaguar, the Ziknes team founded the company to focus exclusively on robotic AM applications, working closely with Meltio as part of Sicnova’s commercial ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to be working with Ziknes and Sicnova, as the collaboration between sales and integration partners within the Meltio ecosystem is critical to fast-track technology adoption in a territory. Together with Ziknes, we are now able to cater to the needs of the ever-growing Spanish and Portuguese robotic metal Additive Manufacturing market,” commented Gerard García, Head of Sales and Marketing at Meltio.

“Being able to enter to the additive industry with great players such as Sicnova and Meltio was what made us not to hesitate to found Ziknes,” stated Nacho León, CEO of Ziknes. “Together with Meltio’s innovative technology, we want to introduce our knowledge of automating robotic processes and industrial software development, to create metal parts with laser metal deposition technology. We have no doubt that joining the experience of the three companies will make it easier to use this technology in any sector.”

Brazilian market

As part of its continuing expansion, Meltio also announced that Máquinas e Soluções will act as its first official sales partner for the Brazilian market.

Máquinas e Soluções will focus on building a supportive ecosystem for Meltio’s technology in the Brazilian territory, partnering and driving business opportunities alongside technology centres, tooling machine companies, robotic integrators, academia, and industry.
