Laser Prototypes Europe Ltd (LPE), Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK, has expanded its metal Additive Manufacturing services with the installation of an EOS M290 machine and the addition of titanium to its material offerings. LPE also produces high-resolution aluminium and stainless steel components on a Concept Laser MLab Laser Cusing system which it installed two years ago.

Tom Walls, Managing Director of LPE, stated, “This is a massive investment and step forward for LPE in terms of our expansion into the metal sintering market. The substantial value of this investment reflects our confidence in this new technology and demonstrates our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation in this fast moving industry.”

LPE has offered specialist Rapid Prototyping and Additive Manufacturing services for over 25 years at its custom built premises. The company offers a range of manufacturing and finishing services to customers in the automotive, motorsport, medical, aerospace, defence and electronics industries.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our customers access to this exciting new technology and we hope to continue our expansion into this market in the future,” added Walls.
