Lortek to showcase Digital AM Core and DED repair developments at Formnext 2026

Lortek, based in Gipuzkoa, Spain, will present its latest developments in metal Additive Manufacturing and industrial digitalisation at Formnext 2026, taking place November 17 – 20 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Lortek is set to showcase its Digital AM Core, a platform that allows real-time monitoring and analysis of the metal Additive Manufacturing process. The platform uses high-resolution image analysis to identify anomalies, while melt pool monitoring combines photodiodes and AI models to detect process deviations and generate real-time alerts. The platform also stores historical data and generates reports, facilitating the traceability of each part and process analysis.

Lortek will also present two further developments aimed at improving the manufacturing and repair of metal components. The first is Compliance Tooling DED, a tooling solution that combines mechanical compensation and active thermal control to reduce warping and residual stresses during Directed Energy Deposition (DED) manufacturing.
The second development is a semi-automated method for digitisation and repair using Laser Beam Directed Energy Deposition (DED-LB) to identify missing material in damaged components, plan the repair and geometrically validate the result.

These applications and capabilities are aimed at sectors such as energy, aeronautics, metallurgy and advanced manufacturing.
