The Laser World of Photonics, a leading trade fair for photonics components, systems and applications, is scheduled for April 26-29, 2022, in Munich, Germany. Thus far, over five hundred exhibitors have registered, meaning that the laser beam sources, optics components and production systems on display will reflect the true breadth of the laser market.

The following week, from May 4 to 6, 2022, in Aachen, laser users, manufacturers and developers will be able to catch up on the possible applications of the latest laser processes and systems and discuss the prospects for laser technology in various sectors of the manufacturing industry at AKL’22, organised by Fraunhofer ILT.

Laser experts will provide attendees of AKL’22 with a comprehensive overview of the current state of laser material processing in the macro and micro range, as well as laser beam source development, in eighty-seven presentations and demonstrations. In the ‘Seminar Laser Technology ABC’s’, newcomers and the less experienced will get insight into the basics of laser technology as well as its application areas and perspectives, whilst specialist forums ‘Additive Manufacturing’, ‘Process Control & Digitalization’ and ‘Quantum Technology & Photonics’ will offer in-depth expert knowledge. Strategists and marketing managers can acquire new knowledge about the status and prospects of the European, American and Asian laser markets at the ‘Technology Business Day’.

Between the lectures, the exhibition accompanying the conference gives participants the opportunity to network and exchange information with experts in the laser industry.
