Innovate UK event on powder handling in Additive Manufacturing to run this month

Innovate UK has organised a free Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) event titled ‘Introduction to powder handling issues in Additive Manufacturing’, to be held at the AMRC Knowledge Transfer Centre, Rotherham, UK, on June 20, 2019. Described as a ‘breakfast event’, the meeting will offer participants an understanding of the important issues of powder handling in AM.
Jointly organised by the KTN, Metalysis, TWI and The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology, the meeting will run from 8:15–10:30AM and cover the following presentations:
- Powder flow – a manufacturer’s perspective (Metalysis)
- Fundamentals of powder flow (Prof Mike Bradley, University of Greenwich)
- Current issues with powder flow (TWI)
- Funding opportunities (KTN)
Participants will also have the option to tour Metalysis’ materials manufacturing facility in Rotherham.
