Intech Additive Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, India, formerly known as Intech DMLS Pvt. Ltd., has announced the appointment of Pradeep Nair as Vice President-Hardware Sales (APAC & ME Asia). Nair, recognised as a veteran in the field of Additive Manufacturing, will primarily be responsible for the business development and sales of the company’s recently launched iFusion series of metal AM machines, along with its marketing and support functions.

Nair is reported to have introduced AM technology into the Indian and ASEAN markets in 1996, joining Stratasys as Regional Director to set up its operations in these markets. After nineteen years at Statasys, he moved to SLM Solutions GmbH as Director-India to start their operations in India, selling and servicing metal AM machines.

“Pradeep Nair is a visionary and among the early prime movers to introduce Additive Manufacturing to India. His tireless work to build and promote a strong AM community network is evident and much appreciated,” stated Sridhar Balaram, MD & CEO of Intech Additive Solutions.

“His appointment will give a big boost to our plans to revolutionise Additive Manufacturing in India, especially with our ‘Made in India’ iFusion series of Metal 3D Printers,” added Balaram.

Intech Additive Solutions is one of India’s leading AM companies, and said to be one of the earliest entrants in the metal Additive Manufacturing market in the country. The company provides end-to-end solutions from concept design to fully functional production parts for various industries such as aerospace, automotive, general engineering and medical market segments in India and overseas.

“I am thrilled to be part of such an innovative company like Intech through the next stage of its growth,”added Nair. “With its iFusion series of Metal 3D Printers, Intech is today well positioned to help the manufacturing industry reduce the cost of acquisition, cost of operations and achieve First Time Right with a quick Go to Market in its operations.”

In addition to its HQ in Bangalore, Intech Additive Solutions has business offices in USA and Europe. It is said to have the largest installation of commercially available metal AM machines in the region, complemented by a sophisticated design studio for the development of fully functional components.
