HIP2022 Conference call for papers

The International Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) Committee has issued a call for papers for the HIP2022 conference, now scheduled to take place September 11–14, 2022. The event will be held in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

Abstract submissions will be accepted on any of the following topics laid out in the programme:

  • Industry and national labs: results, expectations and limitations
  • Modelling of the HIP process and evolution of microstructure
  • Mechanical properties, optimisation of fatigue properties
  • Formation, evolution and characterisation of defects
  • Synthesis of Advanced Materials via HIP – waste forms, LEDs, sputtering targets, scintillators
  • HIP of ceramics, MMCs, gems and crystals – armour, windows, medical and dental devices
  • HIP of castings, MIM, Additive Manufacturing
  • HIP for aerospace and powder generation
  • HIP of wear and corrosion resistant materials, diffusion bonding and HIP cladding
  • HIP of large components and industry demands for large HIPs
  • HIP tooling – modelling, reduced costs, reusable use of Additive Manufacturing
  • HIP equipment and processing – nuclear, ultra high pressure, quenching, continuous evacuation, in-situ alloying
  • New applications and related technologies – HIP impregnation, warm & cold isostatic, sinterHIP
  • Related topics – Powders, handling, safety, economics & toll HIP
