Global AM Hubs Summit set for September in Barcelona

The Global AM Hubs Summit will take place at the DFactory Barcelona, an Industry 4.0 ecosystem promoted by Spain’s Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), from September 16-18, 2025. The event is intended to be an international forum and meeting point for Additive Manufacturing in Europe, bringing together leading figures, organisations, hubs, associations, and institutions from across the AM ecosystem, as well as a wide range of technology providers from all areas of the AM value chain.
The inaugural event, supported by the CZFB, Formnext, The Catalan Society of Technology and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia as institutional partners of the event, will also mark the official launch of Addliance, the new European alliance of Additive Manufacturing hubs. Addliance’s primary mission is to establish a stable and collaborative framework to drive the adoption of AM technologies, promoted by organisations, institutions, and industry stakeholders across Europe.
This Global AM Hubs Summit is intended to bring together over twenty hubs and AM organisations from across Europe, alongside industrial leaders, experts, sectoral associations, universities, and institutional representatives driving the transformation of advanced manufacturing. The event will address key topics such as the impact of AM on different sectors, such as healthcare, mobility, defence, and sustainability, talent development and specialised training, cross-border cooperation, and the role of additive technologies in Europe’s industrial resilience and competitiveness.

Pere Navarro, Special State Delegate in the CZFB, stated, “We are very pleased that DFactory Barcelona will be the meeting point for this first gathering and important international forum, bringing together Europe’s key ecosystems in 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing. This represents a historic milestone that, through public-private partnerships, will project a shared vision of the transformative role of additive technologies in industry — and it will all happen here in Barcelona, at DFactory.”
In turn, Blanca Sorigué, General Director of the CZFB, added, “The celebration of such an important international event as the Global AM Hubs Summit reaffirms DFactory Barcelona as Europe’s leading Industry 4.0 ecosystem and the cathedral of the digital transformation of industry.”
The Global AM Hubs Summit will also feature live demonstrations and hands-on experiences to explore the potential of additive technologies, alongside a comprehensive conference programme with debates, round tables, and presentations. An Application & Technology Showroom will be hosted at DFactory Barcelona, where leading companies will showcase their solutions, materials, software, demonstrations, and success cases of AM adoption across industries. The event will also include institutional and industrial networking activities, as well as visits to centres of excellence and innovative companies within Catalonia’s AM ecosystem.
