GF Machining Solutions, Schaffhausen, Switzerland, a division of Georg Fischer AG, and 3D Systems, based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA, will showcase their combined metal Additive Manufacturing solutions at Formnext 2019, Frankfurt, Germany, from November 19–22.

As part of a long-term collaboration, the two companies launched their first jointly-developed Additive Manufacturing machine, the DMP Factory 500, in September 2018. This scalable manufacturing system was designed for the building of high quality, seamless metal parts of up to 500 x 500 x 500 mm using simplified workflows.

The companies will jointly present a streamlined AM workflow including AM machines, wire-cutting Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and high-speed milling machines, 3DXpert software, services and thoroughly tested materials.

To highlight the benefits of their jointly developed metal AM workflow, GF Machining Solutions and 3D Systems will showcase two metal additively manufactured parts; a spinal fusion cage for orthopaedic surgery and a lightweight bracket used in the aerospace industry for satellite technology.
