Freemelt highlighted a growing pipeline of paid development projects and several ongoing proof of concept projects. The most notable events during 2024 were said to be the strategic agreements that Freemelt signed with two global OEMs to demonstrate serial production of orthopaedic implants using its industrial machine, eMELT.

These collaborations represent significant commercial breakthroughs and position the company as a key player in the Additive Manufacturing of orthopaedic implants.

Additionally, the company has deepened its collaboration with Saab Dynamics on defence applications, further confirming the value its technology brings to the development of high-performance, complex applications.

In the energy sector, Freemelt increased its customer engagement, leading to a new project order from the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) in February 2025 for large-scale production tests of additively manufactured tungsten tiles for fusion reactors. UKAEA has also ordered an eMELT machine valued at SEK 8 million to manufacture tungsten tiles.
