“Freemelt’s innovative technology and product offering combined with the growth journey the company has started, was what appealed to me. With my experience from both smaller scale-up companies to large global organisations, I will contribute to the company’s continued commercialisation and growth journey,” stated Törsäter.

The company’s Freemelt ONE is an open source electron beam powder bed fusion (PBF-EB) metal Additive Manufacturing machine, optimised for materials research and development. The machine combines open source software, high process temperatures and high vacuum, said to make it the perfect choice for a wide range of materials such as Ni-based superalloys, intermetallics, high-alloyed steels, refractory metals and OFHC copper.

Daniel Gidlund, Freemelt’s CEO added “Freemelt is currently in a phase where our international growth journey is gaining further momentum. At this phase, Lisa Törsäter’s experience and responsibility will be critical, to contribute with communication and marketing to Freemelt, to positioning itself in the right way and enabling further rapid international expansion.”
