Fraunhofer announces Sinter-Based Additive Manufacturing workshop

Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials (IFAM), Dresden, Germany, has announced its fourth Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing Workshop, scheduled to take place September 13-14, 2023, in Bremen, Germany.

The workshop will include international speakers from industry and research, and is intended to provide insight into the latest advancements and industrial implementation of Binder Jetting and other sinter-based techniques. The workshop programme will be supplemented by interactive elements and a Component Award competition.

The main topics addressed in this workshop will be:

  • Process development and new systems for metal Binder Jetting
  • Other SBAM technologies: Lithography-based metal AM and Cold Metal Fusion
  • Metal Powders for sinter-based AM
  • Supporting Analytics for sinter-based AM processes

For those new to the industry, Fraunhofer IFAM also offers an extra half-day tutorial on the fundamentals of Additive Manufacturing which will precede the workshop.

Registration is open until August 31, 2023. An early-bird rate is applicable until June 30.
