Formnext Forum Tokyo sees boost to exhibitor numbers
September 4, 2023
Formnext Forum Tokyo will open its doors from September 28-29, 2023, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, Hamamatsucho-Kan. As of the end of August, the organisers report that sixty-seven exhibitors have now confirmed, including nineteen first-time participants. Following the easing of pandemic restrictions, visitor numbers are expected to rise to around 1,500, up from 1,180 in 2022, as the event continues to serve as a leading platform in Japan.
Eight ‘special seminars’ covering a wide range of topics, from academic fields to the latest trends and technologies will be held over the course of the two-day event. Each seminar will provide relevant industry knowledge whilst offering ample business and networking opportunities. All seminars are free of charge, and some are open for pre-registration via the official website. Some highlighted by the organisers include:
- Ultra-fast 3D metal printers open up the future of the metal manufacturing industry by Kazuhiko Nishioka, CEO, Sunmetalon
- AM for the industry – technology & market driven developments by Dr Markus Heering, VDMA Additive Manufacturing working group
- Turning Ideas into Shape, c3DP (Concrete 3D printer) Business and Beyond 3D Printing by Shota Abe, Corporate Officer, 3D Concrete Printing Development Team Leader, AIZAWA Concrete Corp
An industrial forum sponsored by the Japanese Society of Additive Manufacturing and the Japan 3D Printing Industrial Technology Association is also on the agenda. Focusing on both technical advances and business opportunities, the forum will cover a wide range of topics relevant to Japan as well as to overseas players.
Held annually, Formnext Forum Tokyo attracts the entire spectrum of AM stakeholders. The event covers an array of advanced technology and all of the upstream and downstream AM processes and equipment, including materials, powder metallurgy, design, software, and post-processing technologies.
