Fig3D aims to make Additive Manufacturing and AI-driven solutions accessible to wider industry
April 7, 2025

Fig3D, Retford, UK, is a new company aiming to drive wider adoption of Additive Manufacturing through an application-agnostic approach, focusing on helping businesses transition into production using practical, real-world solutions.
“The team and I at Fig3D believe AM should be universally accessible. Free from the hype or complexities. We are dedicated to making this happen. It’s a bold challenge, but one we’re passionate about achieving,” stated Mark Pinder, Director & CEO.
Three companies – each with a different focus – operate under the Fig3D banner: Pivot3D, Shift3D and AMS3D. Pivot3D is aimed at those looking to introduce Additive Manufacturing technology to their portfolios, offering service solutions and targeted workshops. Shift3D offers advanced manufacturing – including metal Additive Manufacturing – on demand as well as a streamlined supply chain.
Through its AMS3D brand, Fig3D buys and sells used Additive Manufacturing machines, materials, and critical spare parts and offers relevant training & installation, including on-call technical assistance. This arm also buys waste streams resulting from the AM process, reducing costs and environmental impact by diverting the waste from landfill for repurposing.
