Fifth Additive Aerospace event set for October launch

The fifth Additive Aerospace Summit is taking place October 18-20, 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Organised by Infocast, the event aims to bring together the highest level of stakeholders in the advanced manufacturing industry, with a focus on Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) for aerospace applications.

Exhibitors and speakers will be in attendance from a number of authorities and regulations, aerospace companies, prominent OEMs and tier 1 and 2 manufacturers, as well as leading Additive Manufacturing machine and materials developers, start-ups, government users and more.

Additive Aerospace hopes to bring together the entire value chain in one place. The event programme will offer attendees access to the latest updates on new applications for Additive Manufacturing, a clarification of the qualification process, critical insider perspectives on supply chain implications and more.

The event’s keynote speaker will be Michael Gorelik, PhD, Chief Scientific and Technical Advisor for Fatigue and Damage Tolerance at the Federal Aviation Administration, speaking on ‘Regulatory Considerations for Certification of AM Parts’.

Pre-summit executive briefing

Infocast will also hold a pre-summit event on the latest advancements in advanced manufacturing software. The executive briefing, titled ‘Digital Thread’, will offer insights into CAD, cybersecurity, simulation tools and other essentials connected to digital manufacturing. David Riemer, Vice President of Aerospace and Defense Strategy, Siemens PLM Software, will give a keynote briefing on ‘Investing in Digital Manufacturing’.
