Farsoon Technologies, headquartered in Hunan, China, has introduced its new metal Additive Manufacturing system, the FS301M, which the company states was designed from the user perspective to focus on productivity, safety, stability and ease of use.

Working with Farsoon’s key partners from various industries such as aerospace and tooling, the FS301M offers a 305 × 305 × 400 mm build cylinder said to be suitable for larger-sized industrial applications, as well as single or dual laser options for improved productivity and efficiency. An integrated powder feed connector is reported to improve powder handling safety by allowing powder to be fed into the system under a protected environment without the need to expose the build or user to potential contamination or hazards.

The new system has a compact footprint and designated operation access for servicing, providing a flexible factory layout and good serviceability, and also features an integrated filtration system.

Farsoon further stated that the FS301M offers an open system, in which machine parameters and powder choice are unlocked, allowing freedom and flexibility in the development of new applications.

The FS301M Beta system will be on show at Formnext 2019, Frankfurt, Germany, November 19–22.
