Farsoon Technologies, headquartered in Hunan, China, welcomed colleagues from Siemens China, Beijing, in an effort to strengthen its strategic partnership for integrated industrial solutions for Additive Manufacturing.

“Farsoon and Siemens have a long cooperation history. Our colleagues in US and China both give many positive comments on Farsoon machine,” says Dr Karsten Heuser, VP for Siemens Additive Manufacturing. “In the future, we will see in-depth collaboration of both companies and more Siemens solutions integrated on Farsoon Machine.”

Jack Cheng, Farsoon board member & Deputy General Manager, and Don Xu, Farsoon board member and Global Business Group Director, lead the factory tour and showcased Farsoon’s latest AM machine solutions targeting large-scale series production.

During the subsequent meeting, Dr Karsten Heuser discussed Farsoon’s goal of pushing Additive Manufacturing into Industry 4.0. Highlights included:

  • Plans for Siemens and Farsoon’s R&D team to continue the Siemens NX software integration on Farsoon’s metal and plastic open platform AM machines to offer end-to-end machine-software solution targeting production-scale application projects
  • Both parties’s intention to enhance the application of Siemens automation within Farsoon’s AM machine, including giving priority to Siemens solutions when selecting for Farsoon’s future machine development and production
  • Plans for Siemens to offer Farsoon Additive Manufacturing users high-performance and factory automation solutions
  • The allowance of Farsoon users to choose Siemens Financial Services to provide purchasing solutions customised to their budget
  • The fact that Farsoon is willing to work with Siemens for unique machine solutions and configurations to best suit Siemens’ application needs in aerospace, healthcare, automotive and industry manufacturing
