Eplus3D prepares two metal AM EP-M260 machines for Europe

Eplus3D, Hangzhou, China, has prepared another two of its EP-M260 metal Additive Manufacturing machines for delivery to Europe for industrial applications.
The EP-M260, a Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) machine released in April of this year, is, stated the company, best suited to medium-sized parts and small-batch production. The machine’s gas flow management and filter systems provide a stable manufacturing environment and its sealing capability helps to optimise the oxygen content within the build chamber.
The machine also features a powder feeding and coating system designed to reduce powder waste and shorten recoating times, while a powder recycling system with a ‘glove box’ structure minimises powder contact. The incorporation of intelligent software, which allows for in-situ monitoring, also means less physical human intervention is required.
Eplus3D reports that this machine consumes a relatively small amount of inert gas during purging, and its advanced filtration system increases the lifetime of the filter. When the filters do require changing, the operation continues throughout.
