Fraunhofer IFAM has announced a call for abstracts for the International Conference on Emerging Applications of PM & AM Materials and Technologies (EMATec 2026), scheduled to take place from June 2-5, 2026, in Dresden, Germany. The triennial EMATec conference, organised by Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden and TU Dresden, aims to provide a platform for presenting the latest achievements in research and development and addressing current industry needs.

Chanel: When manufacturing process becomes part of luxury value

The focus of the conference lies on sustainable materials and manufacturing, with the following sub-topics:

Advanced Materials and Manufacturing

  • Emerging PM technologies and applications
  • Emerging AM technologies and applications
  • Modelling and simulation
  • Characterisation and testing of PM/AM components
Steel reinvented: Colnago’s Steelnovo and the search for the perfect modern road bike

Energy Transition

  • Hydrogen – materials for production and storage
  • Waste heat – materials for recovery
  • Waste heat – materials for storage
  • Electric drives and converters – magnetic materials

All accepted contributions will have the opportunity to be published afterwards as peer-reviewed papers in the portfolio of Scientific.Net. Deadline for submissions is September 30, 2025.
