Eckart celebrates 150th anniversary in 2026
Eckart, headquartered in Hartenstein, Germany, is marking its 150th anniversary in 2026. Founded in Fürth in 1876 as a goldbeating workshop, the company has grown into an international manufacturer of effect pigments and metal powders.
Today, as part of Altana AG, Eckart’s products are used across a range of industries, including coatings, printing inks, plastics, cosmetics and other technical applications. Alongside its established pigment activities, Eckart produces metal powders for Additive Manufacturing, Metal Injection Moulding and other industrial applications.
“Eckart has repeatedly reinvented itself without losing sight of its roots,” stated Andreas Gipp, Managing Director, Eckart Europe. “Our success has always been based on our ability to adapt, drive innovation, and respond to new challenges. These qualities will continue to guide us in the future.”
