DMG Mori to showcase new Lasertec 125 hybrid AM system at Formnext 2019

DMG Mori will reportedly premiere its new hybrid Additive Manufacturing system for laser deposition welding at Formnext 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany, November 19–22. The new system is designed for the maintenance, repair and production of large metal parts measuring up to ø 1,250 x 745 mm up to a weight of 2,000 kg.

The new hybrid machine is based on DMG Mori’s monoBLOCK platform and is said to offer accurate, reliable and cost-effective machining machining of metal AM parts at the high build rates and repeatability normally associated with CNC metal cutting. It incorporates the new AM Assistant as part of its machine software, including an integrated thermal imagining camera for continuous monitoring of the entire work area, and the AM Evaluator for intelligent downstream evaluation of AM process data.

DMG Mori will also showcase its Lasertec SLM system for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) AM, its DMG 50 3rd Generation system for AM plus CNC solutions, its DMQP powder circuit, ‘my DMG Mori’ customer portal and DMG Mori Economic Stimulous Program.
