Czinger 21C hypercar named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2023
November 21, 2023

The Czinger Vehicles 21C hypercar has been recognised as one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2023. The 21C is reported to be among 200 of the most significant innovations from the past year, all of which hold the potential to make a profound impact on the future.
The list was assembled by soliciting nominations from TIME’s editors and correspondents worldwide. They used an online application process with a strong emphasis on emerging fields like sustainability, green energy, and artificial intelligence. Each potential nominee was then ranked based on factors such as ambition, impact, efficacy, and originality.
“We are proud for the 21C to be included on this prestigious list of inventions that will drive the world forward for years to come,” says Kevin Czinger, founder, lead inventor, and CEO of Czinger Vehicles. “At Czinger, our devoted team pushes the boundaries of manufacturing. Our revolutionary focus on human- AI design, 3D printing, and additive materials is propelling the automotive industry from analogue to digital. And perhaps even more importantly, we are doing it in a way that greatly minimizes our own ecological impact. We thank TIME, its editors, and correspondents for the distinguished recognition, and look forward to advancing even further in the forthcoming year as we prepare for first deliveries of the 21C.”
With over 350 AM components used in the vehicle’s structure, suspension, brake systems, drivetrain and more, Czinger Vehicles’ ethos embraces design in its entirety, using revolutionary, proprietary technology to manufacture cars that are both sustainable and high-performing. The 21C, Czinger’s debut production car, represents a significant shift in manufacturing and the future of human-AI design and sustainable systems.
The innovative hypercar, which boasts over 600 patents, signifies a departure from traditional automotive manufacturing, greatly reducing the car’s overall carbon footprint. The 21C, equipped with an in-house designed twin-turbo V8 and a strong hybrid configuration, can reach a top speed of 253 mph in its V Max iteration.
The car’s lightweight body, crafted from carbon fibre, aluminium, and titanium, weighs only 1,250 kg. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 1.9 seconds. The hypercar has set new records at several racing circuits, including Circuit of the Americas and Laguna Seca, showcasing the brand’s commitment to performance and innovation.
