Cooksongold, based in Birmingham, UK, has announced a partnership with Materialise NV, Leuven, Belgium, that will lead to the distribution of its Cooksongold Precious M 080 metal Additive Manufacturing system with Materialise’s Magics and Build Processor software.

Cooksongold, part of the Heimerle + Meule Group, has a long history of manufacturing precious metal products for the jewellery and watchmaking industries. In collaboration with EOS, Cooksongold distributes the Precious M 080 metal Additive Manufacturing system. This technology allows users to create complex jewellery and watch components that were previously considered impossible or too time-consuming to be commercially viable.

Cooksongold provides a complete turnkey solution by producing a range of advanced precious metal powders in 18k gold, 950 platinum and 925 silver, which have been developed especially for optimum use with the Precious M 080.

Following the new agreement with Materialise, the software package will allow users to easily prepare data, generate support, communicate their files to the metal AM machine, and overview all installed machinery. Users will also be able to handle large files, produce complex parts, streamline their production process and track their manufactured parts.
