Call for papers issued for AMPM2021

July 13, 2020

The programme committee for the Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy Conference (AMPM2021) scheduled to take place at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, in Orlando, Florida, USA, from June 20–23, 2021, has issued a call for papers and posters.

The four-day event is co-located with the International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials (PowderMet2021) and sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), the North American trade association representing the Powder Metallurgy industry, and its affiliate APMI International.

The AMPM conference has grown significantly since its debut in 2014 as the only conference focused entirely on metal Additive Manufacturing. The technical programme co-chairmen for 2021 are Stuart Jackson, Renishaw, Inc., and Sunder Atre, University of Louisville.

Abstracts are invited covering any aspect of metal AM, including:

  • Modelling of materials, components & processes
  • Design of components
  • Particulate production
  • Build processes
  • Sintering
  • Post-build operations
  • Materials
  • Materials properties
  • Testing & evaluation
  • Applications
  • And management issues.

“As the only annual Additive Manufacturing/3D printing conference focused on metal, the AMPM conferences provide the latest R&D in this thriving technology,” stated James P Adams, Executive Director/CEO, Metal Powder Industries Federation. “The continued growth of the metal AM industry relies on technology transfer of the latest research and development, a pivotal function of AMPM2021.”

The abstract submissions deadline is November 13, 2020. Further information and registration details are available via the event website.
