Bodycote plc, headquartered in Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK, reports that it will be showcasing its thermal processing services and solutions for Additive Manufacturing at RAPID + TCT 2021, scheduled to take place at the Cobo Center in McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, USA, from September 13–15.

The company is a provider of heat treatment and specialist thermal processing services, specialising in the treatment of parts and components used in a wide range of industries. Bodycote’s facilities offer a complete service solution for metal parts produced by AM, including stress relief to minimise distortion and residual stress, EDM to prepare the component for Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), heat treatment or HIP to remove microporosity, and associated quality assurance testing.

“Our thermal processing services play a significant role in Additive Manufacturing post-processing, to optimise the mechanical properties of the components,” stated Jamie Kuriger, Regional Sales Manager (USA), Bodycote. “Almost all metal parts built by Additive manufacturing require secondary treatments to make them suitable for their intended use. Our complete service model will ensure the most cost-effective and time-saving option for 3D printed metal parts.”

Bodycote will be exhibiting at Booth E8749 during RAPID + TCT 2021.
