Biogenic Dental Corporation, a full-service dental lab based in New York, USA, has adopted metal Additive Manufacturing technology with the purchase of a dual-laser EP-M150 Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) metal Additive Manufacturing machine from Eplus3D, headquartered in Hangzhou, China.

The move from conventional casting techniques to metal Additive Manufacturing can offer both increased efficiency and productivity, along with high precision and consistent part quality, explains Eplus3D.

Biogenic purchased the dental edition of the EP-M150, an open-system machine that provides a solution for metal partial and crown restorations, after having worked closely with Eplus3D to determine all necessary technical specifications.

The companies have remained in contact through machine installation, with Eplus3D involved in training Biogenic’s employees in the machine’s optimal use.

“We are extremely pleased to work with Eplus3D, and are very excited to utilise this technology in-house,” stated Bob Belouin, owner of Biogenic.
