BEAMIT half-year report confirms positive outlook

October 25, 2017

The board of BEAMIT SpA, Fornovo Taro, Italy, has released its half-year report for 2017. According to the company, the report confirms its positive outlook for the next three years.

In the past six months, the report states, BEAMIT has invested in several technological fields. The installation of two new SLM 500 4-laser multi-laser machines and two EOS M400 4-laser machines reflect long-term collaboration agreements with SLM Solutions and EOS. In addition, in recent months, investigation technologies have been integrated within BEAMIT’s Metallographic Laboratory and Special Processes.

The company has recently invested in in-house thermal treatment capabilities with the installation of a second vacuum furnace at its facility, and qualified several new materials including AlSi10Mg, Inconel 718, Inconel 939 and Hastelloy X. A pure copper material is also in development for aerospace applications.

This half-year also saw the opening of the company’s new Additive Manufacturing Competence Center (A.M.C.C),  aimed at supporting customer developments.
