ASTM International to host industry standards forum at Formnext 2023

STM International has announced that it will host a standards forum – ‘Unleashing the Power of Digital Thread to Advance AM’ – on November 6 at Formnext 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany.

This one-day workshop will focus on the standardisation needs for Additive Manufacturing. It will provide participants with the opportunity to engage with experts, discuss standard practices, and address implementation challenges in various areas, such as:

  • Additive Manufacturing workflow automation
  • Data integrity, sharing and security
  • Development in AM hardware in integrating closed loop controls
  • AM integration to industry 4.0
  • Qualification and certification leveraging digital thread
  • Sustainability opportunities with AM covering lifeing models using digital thread
  • Digital thread to enable quality assurance

The event includes technical talks, an interactive panel discussion, and a breakout session. All of these are led by industry leaders from various sectors currently using Additive Manufacturing.
