Asiamold organiser, Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, has announced that starting in 2024, the Guangzhou-based show will be renamed Asiamold Select. Additionally, a second event will be held in Shenzhen in autumn, also located in China’s Guangdong province. The events aim to showcase efficient, innovative, and sustainable manufacturing solutions, including mould-making, Additive Manufacturing, die-casting, stamping and other technologies.

Guangdong serves as a central hub for a wide breadth manufacturing clusters. It is also reportedly the largest site for mould production and distribution in the country; over 30% of the country’s mould-making outputs are contributed by the province, but the market is fast diversifying.

One cause fuelling demand for a wider range of moulding solutions is the transition towards lightweight and alternative energy within the automotive market. For the moulding industry, this has prompted the need for technologies which specialise in the production of components for alternative fuel vehicles, electric vehicle batteries and photovoltaic energy storage.

In addition, the organiser of Asiamold Select has announced that it will partner with the Guangdong Die & Mould Industry Association (GDMA), with the association serving as a co-organiser for the exhibition. Established in 1987, GDMA is a leading organisation with experience assisting the development of the mould industry in Guangdong.

Asiamold Select – Guangzhou

The Guangzhou event will be held March 4-6, 2024, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex alongside SPS – Smart Production Solutions Guangzhou (formerly SIAF Guangzhou). As in previous iterations, the show will focus on moulds, dies and Additive Manufacturing.

The two co-located fairs are intended to highlight the synergistic potential of smart manufacturing within industry. The organisers believe that the move will assist the manufacturing sector in south China with upgrading and transforming towards smart production and digitalisation.

Asiamold Select – Shenzhen

Asiamold Select – Shenzhen will take place in autumn 2024 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center concurrently with Formnext + PM South China. Participants are hoped to be able to benefit from the collaborative potential that can be found between moulding, Additive Manufacturing, Powder Metallurgy, and advanced ceramics technologies within a single venue.

Other Formnext events include:

  • Formnext + PM South China: August 29-31, 2023, Shenzhen, China
  • Formnext Forum Tokyo: September 28-29, 2023, Tokyo, Japan
  • Formnext: November 7-10, 2023, Frankfurt, Germany
