ArcelorMittal enters Additive Manufacturing with new partnership

ArcelorMittal S.A., a major steel and mining company headquartered in Luxembourg and with locations in over sixty countries, has signed up as a partner in IAM 3D HUB, Barcelona, Spain, a digital innovation hub which aims to accelerate Additive Manufacturing in Europe. This marks ArcelorMittal’s first entry into the Additive Manufacturing arena.
The company is said to be developing new metal materials for AM and will have the opportunity to benefit from IAM 3D HUB’s end-to-end solutions platform and partner with its network of stakeholders. In return, ArcelorMittal will support the centre with its knowledge, materials and technologies with the aim of enabling new AM applications.
Further partners of IAM 3D HUB include HP Inc., Renishaw plc, Wacker Chemie AG, Abrast by Coniex, and Fira de Barcelona and its trade show Industry ‘From Needs to Solutions’.
