AnyShape, based in Villers-le-Bouillet, Belgium, has strengthened its industrial metal Additive Manufacturing capacity with two new EOS M 400-4 Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) machines.

Each machine features four 400 W lasers and a build volume of 400 × 400 × 400 mm. This is intended to enable the production of large and complex metal components while providing the productivity and repeatability required for industrial applications.

The two systems have been configured to support several ongoing aerospace and defence programmes. AnyShape plans to use the machines for the production of components in aluminium alloys, including Scalmalloy, as well as large, high-performance parts in titanium alloys.

Both EOS M 400-4 machines are currently undergoing qualification for several OEM customers. The qualification activities are intended to support the transition of demanding applications to repeatable series production.

“These two systems represent more than an increase in manufacturing capacity. They strengthen our ability to support demanding aerospace and defence programmes, from process development and qualification through to industrial production,” stated Roger Cocle, co-founder of AnyShape.

AnyShape provides end-to-end Additive Manufacturing services, including design and engineering optimisation, material and process development, metal AM production, post-processing, laboratory testing and inspection.

The company is certified to EN 9100, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 and serves customers across aerospace, space, defence, medical, automotive, motorsport and other industrial markets.
