Annual Wohlers Conference at Euromold 2015 to focus on global visions of the future

July 29, 2015

DEMAT GmbH and Wohlers Associates, Inc. have announced the 17th Annual International Wohlers Conference, to be held at Euromold 2015 in Düsseldorf, Germany. This year’s conference, entitled Global Visions of the Future, will take place on Wednesday, September 23. The Euromold 2015 exhibition runs from September 22–25 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre.

The organisers state that for the first time, the Wohlers event will be a part of three days of conference sessions at Euromold. The second and third days are being organised by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), with support from Wohlers Associates. “We are thrilled to have SME join us to strengthen the AM programming at Euromold,” stated Terry Wohlers, Principal Consultant and President of Wohlers Associates. “We warmly welcome SME as a partner in this year’s conference.”

Jeff Kowalski, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Autodesk, will serve as keynote speaker at the Wohlers conference. He will be joined by twelve carefully selected experts from Australia, Belgium, China, India, Japan, Korea, South Africa, Spain, and the USA. As speakers and panelists, they will provide views and perspective from around the world.

“Information on research, new applications, and technology trends is difficult to obtain in many regions of the world,” stated Tim Caffrey, Senior Consultant at Wohlers Associates and chairman of a panel session at Euromold. “Pulling together top experts from nine countries on five continents in a single day is rare,” he remarked.

Wohlers Associates is an independent consulting firm that provides technical, market, and strategic advice on the new developments and trends in rapid product development, additive manufacturing, and 3D printing.

Full information on conference presentations and timings is available on the Euromold website.
