AMP+ to run webinar on automated powder handling for industrial AM

July 3, 2020

AM Powder Plus (AMP+), the corporate network established by Assonic Dorstener Siebtechnik GmbH, Solukon Maschinenbau GmbH and ULT AG in 2019, which offers integrated solutions for highly automated parts, powder processing and handling in Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB), will run a webinar on the ‘Automated depowdering of parts and conditioning of powders in industrial SLM’ on July 8, 2020, at 15:00–16:00 CET.

The end-to-end process that will be discussed combines the safe, automated depowdering of AM components with qualified processing and recycling of surplus metal powder. Unmelted powder is collected, sifted, dried, and then returned in its original state to the production process. The solution is said to guarantee a safe, dry process atmosphere, as well as ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

The AMP+ partners state that the network’s combined areas of expertise are the foundation of the overall solution: efficient powder preparation, automated powder removal and a comprehensive approach to air preparation and conditioning are all key to its development.

Further information and registration details are available via the network website.
