America Makes to host 2025 Fall Technical Review & Exchange in Charlotte

America Makes’ 2025 Fall Technical Review & Exchange (TRX) is scheduled to take place November 4-6 in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The event is open to both America Makes’ members and non-members, with participants from industry, academia, government, and economic development agencies encouraged to attend.

The TRX showcases the ongoing and successful America Makes projects portfolio by sharing the research and development of AM within contracted project efforts. Project engineers, managers, and partners will provide deep-dive technical reviews of their work, with the aim of advancing Additive Manufacturing technology.
The line-up of keynote speakers includes event hosts, EPRI, along with the Federal Aviation Administration, GKN Aerospace, NASA, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories, who will explore how they use AM to tackle challenges and drive innovation in their respective industries. EPRI will also provide exclusive tours of its laboratory.

Technical review topics include:
- AM material design allowables
- Qualification and standardisation
- Supply chain resilience and material reuse
- Large scale additive and advanced materials
- Approaches to scaling of AM supply chains
- AM for high temperature applications
