In partnership with the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), America Makes, Youngstown, Ohio, USA, has announced the agenda for the 2023 Spring Technical Review & Exchange (TRX), scheduled to take place from March 7-8, in El Paso. The full agenda is available here.
The two-day event will feature a variety of expert presenters from the Additive Manufacturing supply chain. Topics will include discussions on material allowables generation, cold spray implementation and installation qualification, AM material and process qualification, digital twin technologies, and more.
“We are proud to again partner with UTEP – our first satellite centre location, for the Spring TRX as we work to disseminate our understanding of AM technology and continue to share with various regional manufacturing ecosystems,” stated Brandon Ribic, Technology Director, America Makes.
“This is a prime opportunity for technical experts to take a deep dive into the innovative work in process at the Institute while allowing those in attendance the chance to talk and network with project principals and top researchers,” Ribic added.
With more than $109 million in total annual research expenditures, UTEP is an R1 research university, a designation given to the top 5% of colleges and universities nationally.
“As the first America Makes satellite centre, our relationship with the Institute has been critical to our continued success in AM. We are excited to welcome the team, its membership, and constituents to El Paso to share important advancements in AM,” added Ryan Wicker, Executive Director, W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation at UTEP. “UTEP’s Keck Center is home to a significant national asset in AM and events such as TRX are vital to highlighting this asset as we leverage it to build and grow our local economy.”
