AM 2017 to take place in Bangalore this September

AM 2017, the 7th International Conference and Exhibition on Additive Manufacturing Technologies, will be held in Bangalore, India, from September 7-8, 2017. The event is organised by the Additive Manufacturing Society of India and Rapitech Solutions Inc., and will be supported by The National Institution for Transforming India, the Government of Karnataka Department of Commerce and Industries and the Indian Space Research Organisation, among others.

The two-day conference is expected to have strong relevance to the metal AM industry, with discussion forums focusing on aerospace, automotive, marine and medical applications, as well as uses for AM alongside traditional manufacturing methods such as casting. The agenda is set to include opportunities to network within the key AM markets across the two-day conference and exhibition, including an exclusive Business and Technical Forum.

The exhibition will provide an ideal opportunity for all companies involved in the Additive Manufacturing industry to showcase their new products and technology, including manufacturers of AM systems, equipment and materials, software solutions providers, service providers and more.

It was announced that AM 2017 will be attended by key figures in the country’s industry, among them Dr V K Saraswat, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Indian Minister of Defence, Shri A S Kiran Kumar, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation and Shri Jitendra J Jadav, Director of CSIR National Aerospace Laboratories.
