ALD Vacuum Technologies has announced plans to further expand its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hanau, Germany. Completion of the new facility is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027, and follows significant expansion in 2019.

According to the company, the investment is in response to sustained demand for highly specialised vacuum equipment used across sectors including aerospace, energy, advanced materials and metallurgy.

“With the third expansion of our site, we are sending a clear signal in favour of Hanau,” stated Michael Hohmann, Managing Director of ALD Vacuum Technologies. “The new building will enable further growth, create jobs and provide the space needed to continuously advance our technologies.”

Within the Powder Metallurgy sector, ALD Vacuum Technologies is known for its vacuum metallurgy and thermal processing equipment. The company supplies machines for the thermal and thermochemical treatment of metallic materials in both solid and liquid forms.

Its technologies are used in a range of powder-related applications, including vacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting, atomisation machines for the production of metal powders, and heat treatment equipment for high-performance metallic materials. These capabilities support industries requiring advanced alloys and high-purity materials for aerospace, energy and other demanding applications.
