Addliance launches European AM roadmap

Addliance, the European AM Hubs Alliance, has announced the development of a Strategic European AM Roadmap (AM4Y), a four-year initiative intended to strengthen coordination across Europe’s Additive Manufacturing sector.
The roadmap is designed to align industrial companies, technology providers, research organisations and policymakers around a shared strategy for advancing European manufacturing capabilities. According to Addliance, the initiative seeks to address fragmentation across the European Additive Manufacturing landscape, where national and regional programmes are often developed independently with limited cross-border coordination.
The roadmap will focus on several strategic priorities, including:
- Industrial competitiveness
- Sustainability
- Talent development
- Investment
- Industrial deployment
- Policy alignment
The initiative aims to bring together stakeholders from across the European AM ecosystem, including industrial end users, machine manufacturers, software and material suppliers, research and technology organisations, public institutions and innovation networks from sectors such as aerospace and defence, automotive and mobility, energy, medical technologies, consumer goods and sustainable products.
In its final state, the completed roadmap is intended to reflect a broad range of perspectives from across the sector, supporting a more coordinated European approach to Additive Manufacturing development.
